A New Zealand born, singer songwriter, Sarah spent her early adult years living in San Francisco CA, where she worked in the music industry honing her skills as a singer, songwriter, live performer and recording artist in the rock and blues scene. On return to NZ in 1997, Sarah’s career has steadily grown. Her music has been used a number of times in promo’s for TVNZ and her vocals and songs have been used in film, fitness class DVD’s, an Olympic’s motivational music CD (Anthem in Black), and various ad campaigns, eg NZ Got Talent 2012 and 13, her song For A Day was used as the 2012 TVNZ brand song. Her Debut Album Colours was released in 2012.
Sarah is a thriving live performer and performs at corporate events, local events, weddings, clubs and various venues. Festival performances include, the Seafood Scallop festival. The Auckland food festival, Northshore events Shore sounds, (Pasifica festival) USA. Roots n Regaee Fest in San Francisco. Haight Ashbury Street fest S. F. To name a few.
From July 2011 till July 2012 Sarah had been hard at work in the studio recording and mixing her Debut album ‘Colours’, a collection of songs written over a 25 year period. The album was crafted bit by bit by herself and engineer/drummer, Ben Birkett.
The album features a very special guest artist the legendary John Lee Hooker and is dedicated to her late brother Matthew Spicer.
